About Tara Meyer

I believe that the best medicine is integrative. We are so fortunate here in Vermont where we have many gifted healers in both western medicine and its alternatives. Once a patient identifies a goal or a diagnosis is made, I aim to present a menu of options, including standard allopathic treatments as well as holistic/natural remedies and referrals to specialists (including holistic health practitioners) as indicated. I am passionate about the importance of educating patients about what is going on within the body, so that they can confidently decide what approach makes the most sense for them. Knowledge is power and can deepen one’s engagement in the healing process, dramatically improving outcomes as patients are their own doctors 99% of the time!
