About Stacy Burnett

I am a clinical social worker, EMDR therapist, and cancer survivor. I often work with people who are seeking relief from symptoms related to trauma, eating disorders, or difficult family and relationship dynamics. I also have a focus on healing negative body image, whether related to family and societal culture, gender identity, pregnancy and birth, or the impacts of surgery and illness. All of these issues can take a toll on our daily lives, sense of self, and relationships, and it's my intention to provide a safe haven of support, in which to engage in healing.

I welcome people of any age, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, size, or ability, and am always open to discussing how these personal and cultural aspects are impacting your own experience, as well as our therapeutic relationship.

EMDR Certified

I offer therapeutic support to individuals, couples, and families, currently via telehealth. I draw from a variety of approaches, but tend to rely on EMDR, a technique that is particularly helpful in healing trauma and shifting out of the negative beliefs we hold about ourselves. I also incorporate elements from CBT, IFS, and Sand Tray Therapy. Ultimately, these are tools that we can choose from, depending on your needs and preferences.

Anxiety, Depression, Seasonal Affective Disorder
