About Montana Burns

Montana graduated with Honors from University of Vermont in 2009 earning a Bachelors of Science in Bio-behavioral Psychology with a pre-medical concentration. In 2013, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. Montana completed her Doctorate in Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine through Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2019. She has studied for thousands of hours with practitioners from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Japanese, Dr. Tan and 5 Element backgrounds. Her specialties include women's health, digestion, pain management & anxiety.

Montana has a grounded background in both Eastern medicine and scientific research. She was an undergraduate independent researcher at UVM and is a published author in the field of behavioral neuroscience. She managed a private women’s health practice in Boulder, Colorado and worked as a surgeon’s clinical assistant in the General Surgery department at UVM Medical Center before entering the field of Eastern medicine.

She is skilled in Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, and acupuncture. Montana is nationally board-certified under the NCCAOM, is certified in Clean Needle Technique from the CCAOM, and is fully licensed in the state of Vermont. Additionally, Montana has fulfilled every requirement in her graduate education for the states of California, Washington and Vermont. These states possess the highest educational standards for acupuncturists in the US.
