About Michael Warren

Michael (Nanak Dev) Warren has been practicing Kundalini Yoga diligently since 2012 when life propelled him to seek a new way of being. His personal practice initiated a remarkable positive transformation, which led him to take his practice to a higher level. From 2016-2017 he attended Ravi Singh & Ana Brett's 200 hour Teacher Training program and emerged as a certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher.

Traditionally all yoga systems were considered to be a preparation for the inner evolution and outer transformation for which Kundalini, is invariably a catalyst. In the context of life as we know it, in which true change is very rare, Kundalini Yoga works amazingly quickly. Kundalini Yoga is not about mastering difficult-looking exercises. It's very user-friendly. Essentially, if you can breathe you can do it! Modifications are given for each exercise so everyone can always participate. Whether you're in shape, out of shape, or wavering between the two, Kundalini Yoga will definitely work for you!

Kundalini Yoga is a dynamic blend of physical postures, breathing, movement, stretching, meditation, mantra and relaxation, the combination of which activates the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, expands the lung capacity, and purifies the bloodstream. Both safe and effective, it brings balance to the body, mind and soul. There is something for everyone, regardless of age, fitness, occupation and experience.

In addition to teaching Yoga, Michael is actively involved in the Sacred Music Arts, particularly the practice of Kirtan, which is an uplifting, empowering meditation practice where a group chants mantras together in a call-and-response arrangement with live music to accompany the chanting.

Chanting brings numerous health benefits to the entire body. It activates the glandular system and parasympathetic nervous system (The antidote to the fight or flight aka stress response).
