About Matthew Perchemlides

I am a Licensed Naturopathic Physician and a specialist in integrative medicine, including naturopathic oncology and chronic disease. I completed my medical training at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine (UBCNM), a four-year CNME accredited Naturopathic Medical School, where I graduated first in my class. While at UBCNM, I also earned a Masters Degree in Human Nutrition. I went on to complete my integrative oncology training in a nationally recognized and CNME certified residency program at The Cancer Treatment Centers of America through Bastyr University.

I am a member of a very unique and still small group of naturopathic physicians who have achieved advanced specializations through a residency program. But I also have extensive experience in conventional medicine as well. I received a nursing degree from the Boston College Connell School of Nursing, and before becoming a physician, I worked as a registered nurse in four nationally recognized hospitals. I therefore have a unique understanding of the science behind both conventional and natural medicine, and of how to integrate these two modalities to help my patients achieve optimal health.

My research credits include a doctoral thesis entitled Research-based Applications of CoEnzyme Q10 in Naturopathic Oncology. I also authored oncology treatment guidelines for physicians at the Yale-Griffin Integrative Medicine Center.

I belong to several professional organizations, including the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians , the Society of Integrative Oncology, and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

I believe that a world-wide revolution in the way healthcare is delivered must begin with the integrative care model. I have dedicated decades of education and experience to this vision.
