About Liesje Smith

I am impassioned wit helping people discover more about being in their bodies through sensory awareness, functional movement education, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and Sourcepoint Energy Medicine. As a child I was inspired by dance for it's expressiveness and freedom that it offered me through movement. I knew there was something fundamental and profound about being in our bodies with more harmony, balance, freedom and alignment. In my early 20s, I discovered Somatic Movement Therapy as a career and knew I found what I was here to offer this world; I wanted to help people also have these joyous experiences I felt, so they too, could gain greater meaning, power, ease, function and joy. When we can move better, and feel truly comfortable in our bodies, life is more enhancing and less draining. This journey has been a deeply healing one for me. I am delighted and amazed by all the gifts that have come along because I saw a greater potential for myself and others through this work.

I offer fundamental and integrated change through the body using guiding principles of the transformational and wholistic approach found in the Rolfing Ten-Session Series. I offer my clients one-to-one sessions that combine Rolf Movement Education and hands-on Structural Integration to help release pressure, tension and strain that has limited the freedom of their physical and psychological potential, while gaining a gradual persistence toward wholistic and lasting change that enhances the capacity to self reflect, self connect and self empower toward greater functional and structural ease and health.Through my movement coaching, clients learn how to physically manifest fundamental agency through slow, titrating sensory awareness that leads them toward being and moving in their bodies well. Through the Rolfing Ten Series, clients receive ten or more hands on sessions that will dismantle the remaining impacts of poor habits and injuries that have impeded proper movement. They gain greater aliveness, energy and expression.
