About Karen Pratt

I'm Karen Pratt, owner of Elder Tree Doula. I felt called to become an end of life doula during the early days of the COVID pandemic, after more than thirty years as a teacher, librarian, and writer. As a holistic, non-medical practitioner, I seek to provide a safe, supportive space for clients and their families to create an end of life plan that reflects their wishes, beliefs, values, and needs.

In addition to my work as an End of Life Doula for humans, I also work with companion animals and their families. As a lifelong pet owner, I have experienced the joy and heartache of companioning many animals throughout their lifetimes. In my role as a Companion Animal End of Life Doula, I offer support, compassion, and resources for you, your family, and your pet throughout your journey.
