About Karen Gurian

I am a retired OB/GYN physician and now work as a certified life coach and grief educator. I have additional training in reproductive grief and end-of-life care. I help people with their loss of a loved one whether it's a new or old loss and whether their loved one is human or other animal. Grief often starts before a loved one dies, so I also support family members anticipating loss.

MD, Mayo Medical School
Certified Martha Beck Life Coach
Associate Certified Coach (ACC), International Coaching Federation
Certified Grief Educator, David Kessler
Certified Mother Loss Grief Educator, Hope Edelman & Claire Bidwell Smith
End-of-Life Doula, University of Vermont
Companion Animal End-of-Life Doula, University of Vermont

I offer grief support both before and after a loss. All sessions are virtual using zoom and I have worked with clients around the country and world. I can help navigate grief and find a way to more easily carry their memories as they move forward. My coaching is client led, compassionate, and a safe place for difficult emotions.
