She is an experienced surgeon, offering advanced minimally invasive laparoscopic and vaginal surgeries as well as office procedures. As a Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner, she supports health by addressing the root causes of common gynecologic, hormonal, emotional and gastrointestinal conditions. Dr. Thompson celebrates and is honored to serve the broad diversity of Vermont Gynecology’s patients. Understanding the importance of trauma-sensitive care, she has been a leader in developing and teaching trauma-informed practice in her medical community.

Dr. Thompson received her undergraduate degree from University of Massachusetts-Amherst, graduated from medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri, and completed her OB/GYN residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts in 2008. She completed three years of training with the Institute of Functional Medicine and became a Certified Practitioner in 2020.
