About Joelle Johns

Joelle Johns, MDiv., PT-Csp, GC-C began her career as a psychiatric social worker, having worked in both inpatient and community settings. During her 20 years in Florida, Joelle worked in geriatric social work, was an elder guardian, and she worked extensively with hospice and non-profit organizations to provide trauma-informed resources for the community. She has particular experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community and disenfranchised loss. She holds a master's degree in Divinity, has additional professional certifications in Pastoral Thanatology and Grief Counseling, and is also a certified end-of-life doula. Ordained as an Interfaith Minister, Joelle believes that spiritual strengths and resources are not the property of any one dogma or belief system, and she is uniquely trained to provide support to people of all faiths, those of no chosen faith, and in grief work, those whose faith has been challenged by loss. Joelle’s unique approach of psychospiritual counseling integrates spirituality, psychoeducation, mental health, wellness, and human development principles to support the grief process for people from all walks of life.
