About Emily Stone (Clairmont)

Innate characteristics of an individual can reach full expression when given the right nourishment and encouragement. By birth and by trade I am a humanist. Creating relationships, equality, awareness, and respect are the motivating forces of my personal and professional lives. These attributes complement my ambition.
I am a Registered Dietitian with the University of Vermont Medical Center and I work both within The Comprehensive Pain Program and Culinary Medicine. Additionally, I see clients in the community in private practice, Clearmountain Integrative Nutrition, LLC. In my role as an integrative and functional dietitian I work with people individually and in group settings. And I have a passion for connecting with individuals to encourage health and wellbeing through integrative and interactive nutrition and lifestyle education. Of specific interest I am most passionate about relationship with food and eating, chronic disease management (T2DM, HLD, HTN, chronic pain), auto-immune conditions, food allergies and sensitivities, gut microbiome, IBS and IBD, and nutrigenomics. My education will be forever ongoing, though formal training is that of integrative and functional nutrition. I aspire to evolve my career as a Registered Dietitian among transdisciplinary medical and public health teams and will be devoted to influencing my community as a role model and mentor, and collaborator in the growth of integrative health care in Vermont and beyond.
