About Clara Keegan

Dr. Keegan joined the UVMMC Family Medicine practice in South Burlington in 2011. She is an associate professor at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM in Burlington, VT. She was named the 2012 recipient of the UVM Faculty Gold Star Award and was selected by the Family Medicine Residents as Teacher of the Year for 2016-2017. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, and has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Keegan manages primary care for all ages, including low-risk pregnancy and delivery, well-child care, mental health (depression, anxiety, ADHD, MAT), and chronic illness (diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol). She performs many common office procedures including intrauterine device insertion, colposcopy with biopsy after abnormal Pap tests, and biopsy of skin lesions. She is not currently accepting new primary care patients outside of pregnancy but can provide consultation regarding family planning.
