About Catherine Cerulli

As a professional educator and energy/bodywork practitioner, Catherine is devoted to reducing pain, anxiety, and suffering. She believes teaching simple, effective skills that deepen self-awareness, support self-care, and increase confidence and competence when caring for a loved one is both empowering and healing. She brings her years of training and experience as an educator and Jin Shin Jyutsu acupressure practitioner to her work as a UVMMC Integrative Practitioner.

With Janet Kahn, PhD, Catherine was awarded funding through the Buffum Foundation to provide three years of experiential instruction to oncology patients, family caregivers and staff in the UVMMC Hematology/Oncology clinic, Shep 4, and American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge utilizing the award-winning, evidence-based Touch, Caring and Cancer (TCC) program. With funding support from the Dragonheart Foundation, Catherine brought the TCC program to various sites in Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, Washington counties. In this capacity, she has worked with Northwestern, Copley, and Central Vermont Medical Centers.

With support from UVMMC’s Employee Wellness program, Catherine has designed and customized a variety of workshops utilizing acupressure, aromatherapy, massage, mindful awareness, and humor for self-care and care of others. These experiential trainings have been offered as part of the on-boarding programming for LNAs, as well as in the Psychiatry Department, Baird 4, Baird 6, Shep 4, NICU, Mother & Baby, the Comfort Zone, the Vizient Nursing program, Nursing Grand Rounds, as well as off-campus departments at the Tech Park, Administrative offices, and satellite facilities.
