About Carolyn King

With undergraduate degrees in sociology and psychology from Hartwick College, Carolyn went on to earn a Master of Arts in Education with specialization in Special Education from Lesley University (then, Lesley College) in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Carolyn completed a Feldenkrais Professional Training Program, in Toronto Canada, from the years 1984 - 1987.
She has held a professional practice in the Feldenkrais Method since that time, teaching classes to public and private groups, as well as working with individuals. Carolyn also worked as a Special Educator in Burlington area public schools for a number of years. She was instrumental in bringing Mindfulness Education and Trauma-Informed teaching practices to the public school setting.

Carolyn works with individuals who wish to relieve pain or limitation associated with repetitive stress injuries, arthritis, past accidents, sports related issues, and neurological conditions.
Her group classes focus on bringing awareness to the movement dynamics of everyday activity, reducing discomfort, increasing flexibility, and expanding options for healthy movement.
