About Brendan Kelly

Brendan is an herbalist of 28 years with training in eastern and western healing traditions and has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese medicine full-time for 18 years. He currently practices at Jade Mountain Wellness Inc., the clinic he co-founded in Burlington, VT. He teaches and lectures at schools and conferences nationally and is a current faculty member at the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture FL, and has been on the faculty at Daoist Traditions in NC and Northern Vermont University in VT. He is also the past president of the Vermont Acupuncture Association. In 2015, North Atlantic Books published his first book "The Yin and Yang of Climate Crisis" which uses the lens of Chinese medicine to look at the bigger and deeper issues of our warming planet.

Over 15 years of post-graduate advanced training in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and Asian nutrition.

Acupuncture: Classical Chinese medicine, 5 Element acupuncture, diagnosing and treating the whole person in body, mind and spirit
Chinese Herbal Medicine : We maintain an in-house full herbal pharmacy of over 325 herbs, and prescribe customized herbal formulas.
Western Herbal Medicine: We maintain a large in-house western herbal pharmacy and prescribe customized formulas to treat a wide variety of conditions.
Asian Nutrition: We have advanced training in Asian nutrition and incorporate person-specific, diagnosis-specific diet and lifestyle suggestions into our use acupuncture and herbal medicine.
