About Ana Varona
Ana Varona is a 1988 graduate of the Swedish Institute and holds a BS in human movement studies from the CUNY Baccalaureate Program and an interdisciplinary MA in wellness and health promotion from CA State University. In addition to her bodywork career, she has been a personal trainer, a dance/movement teacher, and a wellness educator.
Ana is a certified Active Release Techniques (ART®) Provider and a certified Kinesio® Taping Instructor. She completed Whitney Lowe’s orthopedic massage series and the NCBTMB clinical rehabilitative massage specialty certification. She teaches clinical massage and Kinesio Taping courses in New Jersey and Puerto Rico.
For several years, Ana has specialized in addressing the needs of the elderly and those approaching the end of life. She completed the UVM End-of-Life Doula Certificate program as well as the nine-month Foundations of Contemplative Care from the NY Zen Center for Contemplative Care. She has provided healing touch to hospice patients and to those with neurological conditions.
